Kimiko Sakuma is inspired by urban environments and vintage designs and incorporates this into her work by interpreting its energy and vibrancy into a visual form through the use of lines, colors, and textures.
Kimiko holds a B.A, from the University of California, Los Angeles in World Arts and Cultures and a M.A. in Instructional Design from San Francisco State University. Her Artwork has been exhibited at various Art galleries, restaurants, and cafes in the Bay Area. Kimiko believes in using Art as a tool in developing the community and created the website Artraiser.com, where funds are raised for a featured non-profit by the sales of Art and Crafts. She is also the Artist and Founder of WorkArtWorld.com, a program incorporating Art within the office and cubicle space. She was an Art editor for an Arts & Cultures Magazine, based out of Oakland called “Tea Party”. She is also an art promoter for Miko Dolls.com, which supports Japanese inspired Art and cultural events in the community.
