The Expo is an all-day extravaganza featuring more than 100 Bay Area arts
organizations, free workshops, performances, and hundreds of local artists and
musicians. Attendees can browse tables staffed by local galleries, nonprofits,
collectives and small businesses; present their portfolios; and join in
workshops on grant proposals, censorship, arts marketing, underground art
history, making a demo tape and more.

Wardrobe for Opportunity

Mission Statement: Wardrobe for Opportunity is a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization that provides free professional clothing and career support to low-income jobseekers in the Bay Area so they can become economically self-sufficient.  Founded in 1995 to address often overlooked, yet critical barriers to finding and retaining employment, WFO has served over 13,000 low-income jobseekers.  Through our Professional Dressing and Pathways to Opportunity programs, we provide our clients with the tools they need to project the positive image, self-confidence, and self-esteem necessary to find and maintain employment and achieve economic self-sufficiency.

Girl Source
Proceeds:
The money raised will go toward providing funds for the

first annual "Young Women vs. Young Women: How to Break the Cycle"
conference at San Francisco State University.


Mission Statement: GirlSource provides meaningful work and leadership

opportunities for urban, low-income young women, ages 14-18. We hire
them to create media and education products that express their own voices
and experiences. GirlSource equips young women with the life, leadership,
and job skills they need to succeed.

Brush Fire Workshops

The money raised will go toward providing painting workshops to

under served youth in San Francisco's Visitacion Valley neighborhood in
conjunction with our partner, Real Options for City Kids (R.O.C.K.).

Mission and Vision: Art for Recovery provides a safe environment

where adults can express the intense feelings that arise in life-threatening
illnesses; nurturing the aesthetic sensibilities of patients, visitors, and
medical staff at the various campuses of UCSF Medical Center and in the
community, and creating a safe haven for patients and staff to be heard, to
express their feelings and find support.

THETA KAPPA PHI Alumni Association
Proceeds : The money raised will be used to award scholarships to deserving active and/or pledge sorority members.


Mission and Vision: Community service is one of the pillars upon which

Theta Kappa was founded. This past year, we have been recognized by the
Asian Greek Council for completing the most hours of community service
out of all the Asian Greeks of southern California. Thetas recognize the
importance of giving back to our community to help improve the lives of
others and build a better future. Annual philanthropy events include the
Revlon Run/Walk for women’s cancers, Little Tokyo Sparkle, WAT Thai
Tutorial, Christmas Caroling at Keiro Nursing Home, Project Chicken Soup,
LA Tofu Festival, and Manhattan Beach Clean-Ups, UCLA Run/Walk,
Reading to Kids, Alexandria House, and many more. Services provide us
with the power and knowledge to help the community and it empowers the
youths to work together while striving for a common goal. It is with our
dedication to our society proves how we strive for excellence. As Thetas,
it is our purpose to promote service and friendship to the university and
community, and become a leader in society.
